For the first time since 2020, letter boxes specially decorated for Christmas have been unveiled by Royal Mail. The postboxes will surprise and serenade members of the public when they post their cards and letters at four chosen locations across the UK.

Painted red and gold, and located in each UK nation, the boxes are festively-decorated with snowmen, snowflakes and gold stars. They merrily respond to post with one of three festive tunes, Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas or Deck The Halls.

The postboxes are located in:

London – Oxford Street (opposite John Lewis)

Glasgow – George Square

Belfast – Donegall Square West

Swansea – Union Street
